This Return, Refund and Exchange Policy (“Policy”) forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of VMAX Autotech Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”). The User (hereinafter referred to as “User”, “You”, “Your”, or “Yours”) acknowledges that this Policy applies solely to direct purchases made from the Company through its official website https://maxoto.com (the “Website”). This Policy does not apply to purchases made through any third party, dealer, distributor, or marketplace.

  1. General Conditions

1.1 The User must ensure that the shipping address, contact details, and bank account information provided are complete, true, and accurate to facilitate timely product delivery and refund processing.
1.2 The Company shall not be held liable for delays or non-receipt of Products or refunds caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the User.
1.3 The User agrees that by purchasing from the Website, they are bound by this Policy and the Company’s Terms & Conditions.

  1. Returns and Exchange

Products once sold can only be returned or exchanged in accordance with the terms herein.

Eligible Scenarios

Products are eligible for return or exchange only if:

  • An incorrect Product has been delivered (i.e., the Product does not match the order confirmation email); or
  • A damaged Product has been delivered to the User; and
  • The User has informed the Company within three (3) working days of receipt of the Product regarding such incorrect or damaged delivery.

Products marked as “non-returnable” on the Product page are not eligible for return or exchange.

Conditions for Return and Exchange

  • The Product must be returned in its original, unused condition, with all original packaging, invoice, labels, accessories, freebies/gifts, and promotional materials (if any).
  • Products that are opened, installed, used, or missing the invoice will not qualify for return or exchange.
  • All return/exchange requests are subject to verification by the Company and must include photos/videos of the Product as part of the verification process.
  • The final decision regarding eligibility for return/exchange shall rest solely with the Company.
  • All exchanges are subject to stock availability and Company confirmation.
  • Approved return or exchange requests will be processed within 7–10 working days of receipt and verification of the Product.

Electronic Devices Clause

All electronic or electrical automotive products sold through the Company—including but not limited to throttle-response systems (PedalBox Pro, PedalBox EV, PedalBox Luxe), engine tuning modules (PowerControl X, RX, DX), sensors, harnesses, or any performance, modification, enhancement, or technology-based accessories—are non-returnable and non-refundable once installed, paired, activated, or registered to a vehicle.
Any tampering, wiring alteration, software pairing, or usage will void the eligibility for return, exchange, or refund.

Installation-Linked Condition

Returns or exchanges will not be accepted for any Product that has been installed, tampered with, or shows evidence of software pairing or wiring modifications.

Defective on Arrival

If a Product is found to be non-functional or defective upon first use, the User must notify the Company within 24 hours of delivery with supporting photos/videos for verification. The Company reserves the right to inspect and verify before offering a replacement.

Reverse Pickup / Return Shipping

  • The Company shall arrange reverse pickup for eligible returns or exchanges, wherever serviceable.
  • If reverse pickup is unavailable at the User’s location, the User must self-ship the Product through a reliable courier to:

  • The cost of return shipping shall be borne by the User.
  1. Changes and Cancellation
  • Order Modifications: Once confirmed, orders cannot be modified or changed.
  • Order Cancellations: Orders can only be cancelled prior to dispatch. Once a Product has been packed or dispatched, cancellation requests will not be entertained.
  • Company-Initiated Cancellations: The Company reserves the right to cancel any order (e.g., due to stock unavailability, technical/pricing errors, or verification issues) and will issue a full refund to the original payment method within 7–10 working days of such cancellation.
  • In case of pricing errors, even if payment has been received, the Company reserves the right to cancel and refund the full amount.
  1. Refunds

4.1 Refunds, if applicable, shall be made only to the original payment method or bank account used for the transaction.
4.2 Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days from the date of Company approval or receipt of returned goods, whichever is later.
4.3 Refunds will not be issued in cash under any circumstances.
4.4 Discounts or promotional codes applied at the time of purchase are non-refundable.
4.5 No refunds, returns, or exchanges apply to freebies, samples, or promotional gifts provided with the purchase.
4.6 The Company is not responsible for damages caused after delivery due to negligence, improper installation, misuse, or unauthorised modifications.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Policy shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
